This first-person shooter game comes with several modes of play. Most players start out in campaign mode, which lets them play a survival story on their own. Jack Mitchell, the character you play as, is a soldier sent out to a futuristic battle. The game gives you a short series of objectives, which you'll view as holograms that come from your weapons. Completing those objectives helps you earn points that you use for upgrading and improving your weapons. The game also comes with a multiplayer mode that lets you play online as part of a team.
A newer mode called Exo Survival lets you join a team with up to three other players and play a coop battle against artificial intelligence characters. This mode features three maps and several tiers on each map. Some levels require that your team stop invading enemies, but other levels ask that you and your team protect certain objects from those enemies. It also comes with a separate zombie game that lets you engage in military battles against invading zombies.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare features the voice talent of some of the world's top actors. Kevin Spacey from 'House of Cards' took on the role of the game's main villain. Other celebrities who appeared in the game include Jon Bernthal, Bruce Campbell, Rose McGowan, and Bill Paxton.
Despite following events from the previous installments, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a little too much like those other games. Some of the issues you may encounter include glitches in multiplayer mode and cut scenes that go on for too long. Those cut scenes tend to look a little outdated when compared to the game itself too.
Campaign mode is easily the best feature of the game. With realistic weapons, exciting action, and lots of enemies coming at you, you'll love working your way through each battle to come out on top. However, the game maintains the rapid-paced combat and high-quality production values that fans of the series have come to expect. It has doubled down on the best of the series while adding to the mobility and flexibility of the soldiers.

Guns are littered everywhere in COD: Advanced Warfare. The weapons in this game are big, powerful and a joy to shoot. Each gun has its strengths and weaknesses. Some are perfect for punching a single solitary hole in rigid armor others can turn a tight corridor into a killing box. The gun physics are uninspired but, the animations and sounds provide great feedback to the player. The game even features sci-fi inspired beam weapons that stream energy between targets. Nailing an enemy with a beat attack and watching him drop to the ground is one of the game's many guilty pleasures.
The Story
The Call of Duty franchise has long been famous for its multiplayer battlefield massacres where players run and gun, live and die only to be resurrected shortly thereafter at a safe point on the map. However, there is more to the franchise than the multiplayer action. There is the campaign. The series campaign has had some big hits and big misses in the past.
This year's campaign puts Kevin Spacey in the lead role and tells a predictable but, enjoyable story. The plot is shallow and thin but, it does a good job of pushing your avatar through a series of improbable but, unique scenarios. You will hop between busses on a freeway, cling onto a jet with magnetic gloves as it streams over Antarctica. You may feel a lot of things during the campaign of the game but, boredom isn't one of them. The game stresses fun over complex narrative and comes off like a high budget action flick.
